![]() California Disclose Act ensures transparency
Thanks for your recent coverage of the looming disaster
called the Keystone XL pipeline. It exemplifies a deadly
nexus that is killing our democracy: the pipeline,
politics, and private special-interest money. The money
buys political influence, which overwhelms the public
interest. Even worse, most of the money for things like
political ads is spent anonymously. We could begin to fix
this last part by supporting more legislation like the
California Disclose Act, SB 52. San Jose mayoral candidates
Sam Liccardo and Dave Cortese both agree. I hope your
readers will, too. ![]() (In accordance with Title 17 U.S.C. Section 107, this material is distributed without profit to those who have expressed a prior interest in receiving the included information for research and educational purposes.) |
