![]() Get politicians out of fundraising game
Your editorial for Yes on 15 (April 1) points the way to change the way we finance election campaigns. Everybody knows the current system is broken. Fundraising from special interests is the name of the game, except for the super-wealthy trying to buy their way into office. It's time to get politicians out of the fundraising game so they can focus on California's problems. Proposition 15 is modeled on proven public campaign financing laws in Arizona, Maine, Connecticut and other states. Without raising taxes, they now have elections and politicians that money can't buy because they never take special interest money. Vote Yes on 15.
